Manchester Dogs’ Home receives planning permission

MDH Sketch 05We’re delighted to announce that the proposed new adoption block, brought about by the tragic fire which destroyed the previous block; received formal planning consent today.

Works are progressing here in the studio and with the other consultants and, of course the staff at the dogs’ home itself to appoint a contractor within the coming weeks in order to start on site as soon as possible.

Keep up with progress HERE

Exciting times ahead!!!

UCLAN visit Legh Cottage

UCLAN VisitIt’s always nice to show off our projects, particularly to those who work or hope to work in conservation architecture. So it was with great pleasure that we hosted an afternoon with the MSc Building Conservation and Adaptation students from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) at one of our most exciting developments involving a listed building.

UCLAN have visited a number of DWA projects in recent years and not only are we proud that they consider our work worthy, we’re enormous advocates of this fantastic course which sends out great talents in to the world of building conservation.

Our own Danny Waugh and Bruce Johnson both studied the course. Danny’s experience and views can be seen HERE

We’re on the move!!

We’re delighted to announce that from the 20th June, DWA will be in fabulous new premises on a beautiful converted farmstead in Holmes Chapel.

We’re very much looking forward to embarking on this new chapter in our story.
